Katalin Ivánka: I am not a morning person, so I have consciously invented a strict order for the day.
András Ivánka: It is always hard for me to get up. I usually dream of my work, and keep the phase of waking up short.
K: I have lots of favorites. Faithless, for example.
A: I cannot pick just one.
K: Magda Szabó: Liber Mortis.
A: I usually read articles about technological development on the internet.
K: Southeast Asia.
A: New Zealand.
K: I prefer restaurants – or what my Mom cooks.
A: I order food or eat what Kati cooks. Eating is not a priority for me.
K, A: Internet.
K: I collect things to read when I am abroad. I do it only occasionally.
A: I do not read magazines.
K: Our own concrete jacket.
A: Jacket.
K: Trousers with straps.
A: Women’s dresses.
K: A pair of speakers that I designed with Dávid Jankovics. We have recently started a fashion line that elevates concrete into the category of materials to wear.
A: I always enjoy my ongoing challenge and the process of working in the job. I need the feeling of accomplishment.
K: With Picasso any time.
A: My uncle who lives in Canada. He inspired the basis of my approach and attitude: efficiency and focus on the target.
K: Determination. Gain practical experience to complement your theoretical knowledge. As far as I can see, people who define their target well ahead are the ones who can develop the most.
A: Do not be fastidious. Be purpose oriented and determined in your work.
