There is a ritual for weekdays and one for weekends. On weekdays: I make coffee, have breakfast, make a mid-morning snack, rest for half and hour, read on the internet…at the weekend, I go to the market and then I have breakfast.
I always have a current favourite that I listen to all the time for a while. Right now, it is Handel’s Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno (Belezza: Natalie Dessay). But there is total silence when I paint.
I have favourite writers rather than favourite books. But as regards books: Moon Palace by Paul Auster, and Daniel Stein, Interpreter by Lyudmila Ulitskaya – which I started reading but have not finished yet.

Opinions are important. It is not necessarily a particular opinion that is important but I interiorize the idea anyway.
